Why does flow decrease in your shower when someone flushes the toilet?
Nathan Sanders Why does flushing the toilet affect the shower?

Why does my shower go cold when someone flushes the toilet?
When you flush, the flow drop on the hot water side of the shower is proportionally greater (i.e. a larger amount of hot water than cold water is decreased) causing a greater drop in heat than in cold, thus the "cold shower" effect of a toilet flush.
Why does the water pressure drop in the shower?

A faulty faucet can cause low water pressure. Bad parts within the faucet, such as a clogged aerator or clogged cartridge, can cause a sudden loss in water pressure. One bad faucet may cause fluctuation in water pressure between two taps in the same room.
Can a clogged toilet cause low water pressure?
Clogged Drains
Often, low water pressure is the result of a clogged drain. If a home has older pipes made from iron, debris like rust can break free and become lodged in the pipes.
How can I improve the water pressure in my shower?
How to increase water pressure in the shower

Why does my shower go cold when the washing machine is on?
The valve regulates pressure changes when the toilet, faucets, and dishwasher cycle on. These lower the pressure and make the cold or hot water levels drop inside the pipes. A faulty valve could make up for the drop in pressure by forcing freezing cold water out of the showerhead.
Does shower water and toilet water go to the same place?
The shower and toilet are connected to the sanitary sewer system. The wastewater from both can be treated at the same facility. Gray water is waste water that doesn't contain anything.
