What happens if your injectors are too big?
Isabella Bartlett Can you drive a car with bigger injectors?
No. If it even starts, you will risk bore-wash. Either tow it, or do the pump/rails yourself but leave the stock injectors, and swap in the bigger ones at the tuner's place.
Do I need a tune if I get bigger injectors?
In general, injectors need a tune. Otherwise, your ECU is trying to drive the new, bigger injectors using the duty cycle and dead times for the old, smaller injectors, which means too much gas potentially at the wrong time (i.e. - running rich and potentially missing).
Do I need a tune if I get injectors?
Fuel injectors directly affect the air/fuel ratio for the engine and new fuel injectors do require a new or updated tune.

How much HP will 120lb injectors support?
Rated injector flow: 120 lb/hr @ 43 PSI. Supports up to 1900 horsepower.
Which is better high or low impedance injectors?
That low-amp current keeps the injector temperature lower, which makes it more reliable; that's why the high-impedance design is the most common injector style for OEM applications. Low-impedance injectors, also called peak-and-hold injectors, are sent a more powerful electrical signal, usually around 56 amps, to open.
Do bigger injectors add horsepower?
3. Larger throttle body and injectors. A larger high-performance throttle body will deliver more horsepower. Depending on what type of engine you have, you can gain as much as 10-20 more horsepower and comparable torque.
Do bigger fuel injectors add horsepower?
The technical answer is yes; fuel injectors can add 10 extra horsepower at peak. However, for some car owners, that minimal difference does not offset the increased cost and complexity of switching to fuel injectors or upgrading the existing stock fuel injectors.
Can a fuel injector cause a misfire?
In severe cases, dirty fuel injectors can cause your engine to misfire. The misfire occurs when there's difficulty with the air and fuel mixture entering the engine. This problem will usually cause the car to vibrate. You might even hear a jerk and pop sound.
How long do fuel injectors last?
In general, they're expected to last a pretty long time. Both Bosch and Delphi, two major manufacturers of automotive components, say their fuel injectors have a life expectancy of 1 billion cycles. Essentially, that means that the fuel injectors should last as long as the car does.
What CC are 80lb injectors?
Fuel Injectors | Siemens Deka | 80 lb/hr | 875 cc/min | High Impedance | EV1 | 8 Cyl.
How many pounds are 1000cc injectors?
1000cc/min injectors would equate to 95.2 lb/hr.
What CC are 60lb injectors?
Fuel Injectors | Siemens Deka | 60 lb/hr | 630 cc/min | High Impedance | EV1 | 4 Cyl.
What do bigger injector nozzles do?
In short, just remember that the smaller the nozzle, the better the atomization is and the better the ability to tow and keep your exhaust gas temperatures down, while the larger nozzle will make more power when paired with the right size injector.

Are all injectors compatible?
If the body of your car's injectors is gray, keep in mind: injectors of all releases ARE compatible! So, your car can have injectors with a different release for each cylinder!
Do fuel injectors affect performance?
Engine performance is significantly affected when fuel injectors fail. The fuel injectors are responsible for delivering fuel to the engine of your car, truck or automobile. So obviously, when the fuel injection system fails, the engine fails and you can no longer travel the streets of Burke, VA.
How much horsepower does fuel injection add?
When looking at pure horsepower, the fuel injection system only delivers about 10 extra horsepower at peak. It is the ability to constantly be tuning the fuel and air intake for each cylinder that benefits the performance.
